良寛記念館

Ryōkan Memorial Museum in Izumozaki, Niigata Prefecture, honors Ryōkan, a Zen monk born there in 1758 and described on the official site as a leading poet, waka composer, and calligrapher. From 19 April through 4 October 2026 it hosts Viewing Ryōkan through Anecdotes, including the kite-writing story linked to his calligraphy Tenjō Taifū.
