Opened in 1988 by Miyamoto Unosuke Shoten, a long-established maker of Japanese drums and festival equipment, the Drum Museum is located in Tokyo. The collection includes approximately 800 drums from various regions including Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. It also houses over 3,000 books and resources related to the history and variety of drums.
