Nagahama Castle

Nagahama Castle is represented on Nagahama City's official pages through Hokoen Park, a 15.6-hectare comprehensive park on the site of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's castle. The park includes the Nagahama Castle Historical Museum, modeled after the castle keep, where visitors can explore local history and culture. About 600 cherry trees bloom around the keep, and the scene is listed among Japan's 100 famous cherry viewing spots. Tennis courts and other sports facilities are also on the grounds.
