Philosopher's Path is a pedestrian path located in Kyoto, Japan, situated between Ginkaku-ji and Nanzen-ji. This scenic route follows a shallow irrigation channel that carries water from the Lake Biwa Canal. The path is characterized by its cherry-tree-lined canal. It first opened in 1890 and was subsequently extended in 1912 to accommodate visitors walking along the waterway.
