Kyushu National Museum

The Kyushu National Museum in Dazaifu examines Japanese culture through centuries of exchange with Asia and Europe. Its permanent Cultural Exchange Exhibition follows themes of movement, trade, religion, art, and technology across seas and borders. Opened in 2005 as Japan’s fourth national museum, the large glass building stands near Dazaifu Tenmangu and also hosts major special exhibitions.
