Enoshima

江の島

Enoshima is a small island off the coast of Fujisawa, connected to the mainland by a bridge. Paths climb through a compact town to the three sanctuaries of Enoshima Shrine, which are dedicated to the goddess Benzaiten. Sea caves, rocky shorelines, viewpoints, gardens, and a lighthouse observation tower combine religious sites with broad views across Sagami Bay.
