Atsuta Jingu Shrine

Atsuta Jingu is an ancient Shinto shrine in Nagoya traditionally associated with Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, one of Japan’s Three Sacred Treasures. Its origins are traced back roughly 1,900 years, and the shrine has long been revered by worshippers and warrior families. The wooded precinct contains the main sanctuary and museums displaying swords and other objects connected with the shrine’s history.
