嵐山

Arashiyama is a scenic district on the western edge of Kyoto, centered on the Katsura River and the Togetsukyo Bridge. Wooded mountains frame temples, gardens, and historic streets, while a well-known bamboo grove lies near Tenryu-ji Temple. The area is especially noted for spring blossoms and autumn foliage, but its landscape and cultural sites can be explored throughout the year.
